The Regent Academy of Irish Dance was formed in 1980 by our Teacher, Mrs. Claire Regent.
The School offers professional Irish Dance instruction at various weekly classes and workshops in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
Regent students learn traditional set dances, hornpipes, reels, jigs, combinations and show sets, similar to those performed in "Riverdance". Regent dancers regularly perform shows and performances in the Calgary area and compete at regional, national and international levels.
The Regent Academy of Irish Dance is accredited by the Irish Dancing Commission in Dublin, Ireland. The Regent Academy is also member of the Irish Dance Teachers Association of North America, Inc and a member of the Western Canada Irish Dancing Teachers Association.
